Why I love Needlework and the color palette that goes with it!🎨🧶

You are probably slightly confused about the color palette that goes with needlework. Some of these thoughts may have crossed your mind. What are you talking about? Aren't their unlimited colors? How do needlework and a color palette correlate with each other?

Well, let me explain!

First off, color matters so much in needlework! You wouldn't wear or use something if you are not a fan of the color it's made from. How many times have you not bought something because you did not like the color? Color can affect my purchase decisions too. I will not buy yarn(or clothing) if I do not like the color.

That is something I love about needlework. I can make things in colors I enjoy!

Secondly, everyone has their colors that inspire and remind them of something. I feel this way about creating things from needlework. I love to be inspired by the colors I use. With that note, I tend to gravitate towards bright, cheerful tones when I make something. Bright, beautiful colors seem to lighten my mood and brighten my day.

Thirdly, I love the endless possibilities made through needlework and the constant challenge of learning something new! It never ceases to amaze me how many stunning yet practical things are made from yarn. One of my favorite knit or crocheted projects I enjoy looking at is sweaters. Though I have never attempted one yet, I hope to soon. In the meantime, I will continue to enjoy knitting or crocheting other large projects like shawls and blankets.

My final thoughts on the color palette used in needlework;

I find it delightful to mix colors. And make something that fits my style or taste. But you may not. You might enjoy working with the same color for your project. Either great way!

And I encourage you if you have not tried needlework. Go for it! You might find you will enjoy it more than you thought you would!

My favorite large project thus far. A shawl that can double as a lap blanket.

And yes I have really been loving strips recently but NOT the boring kind that makes you look really old!
